Hi,

Now, dont kill me because you think I did not use the search. I did! But so many suggestions and I have been spending an hour browsing through them and not found an answer. Someone please help!

My problem is this. When I try to update my phone I get a blank screen that just says "Welcome to Sony Ericcson update service". Now I have done the following.
* Installed PC Suite
* Installed USB Drivers
* Installed USB Drivers for Update Service
* Restarted my computer
* Fully charged battery.

I can see that my Phone Connection Link does not recognize my phone. I have had drivers and other stuff in my computer both for my p900 and my s700. Could this be the problem? If so what do I do?

Someone, please help a fellow Esato brother.

Cheers

I think there is a problem with the Phone Connection Link. Can you click on it and tell me which COM Port You use?

Lucas: for k750i you have to use the original DCU-60 USB cable.

If you have a software for synchronising a palm or something else, turn it off, even if it only appears as an icon at the right bottom of your computer, it can block a com port. That's what happen to me... Hope this help...

Thanx guys! I just talked to SE and a combination of solutions helped me:

1. Download a new Java. Apperantly my download was not right.
2. Turn off all firewalls.

Finally I have it up and running!

Thank you for your help!

Cheers
