i think i have a problem too , but not like that.. it was said that the battery should be on standy for 300 hours , and talking upto 11 hours...
even if i have full charge which tells me its for 300 hours standby , it gives me only 4 hours talking on best result...
so is it normal with all , or only with me??
or ericsson didnt give us right info about the battrey?

I don't think that's normal. I'm a heavy GPRS user (like 4 hours a day on GPRS, and continuous for 3 hours) and talk quite a bit, lots of SMS, no bluetooth though. A charge from really drained battery (when you get the alarm) and 4 hours of charging lasts 2.5 days.

If i were you, i'd rush to the place where i bought it and ask for a replacement. However, you have to be certain to prove your point. So, let me step back and say that you should do a charge/discharge (as in you get the low battery alarm) cycle three times. If it does not improve battery condition, then return it.

speaking of batteries...

what's the best way of prolonging our battery's life? coz i remember with my last phone (nokia 6150) which was almost three years old before replacing it with my t39m, i never had to replace it. and never had problems with performance.

i used to make sure that my battery is totally drained before i charge them, and i think this is the reason my old battery lasted that long

now im confused...i thought the Lithion Polymere Batterys doesnt have the Memory Effect....
I know my Timeport didnt have any problems it didnt matter how i charged ...after 5 minutes or after draining it down...ok it was litium ion Battery but i thought the T68 uses the LI Polymere because of this...it was for me one of the Reasons to by it...
not like on Nokia Phones which still have this Problem...

The three cycles I mentioned is only during my initial use. After that you can charge at will, anytime, without worries about "memory effect." I'm not saying that this is how Ericsson wants us to do charging, but this is what I did and works for me.

For a new phone, that's a sign of something wrong with either your phone unit or your battery.

Better ask your dealer to replace it

I have bought my T68 for three weeks and I notice the battery only last for about 1day+ (normal use, few sms, 20min WAP, 30min phone call).
so i decided take it back to ericsson service centre for exchange, and finally I got a new battery, and now this battery can last for 3 days(normal use). So for those who have the battery only last for 1day+ with normal usage, I advice just send back to ericsson and get a new one.

hmm ... the standby/talk times that ericsson published are based on the assumption that you don't top-up your battery by charging them again. Meaning after a full charge, those would be the approximate values for standby/talk time
