Well a person on one of the forums said that in Dubai(I don't know where that is, but I heard it somewhere before) they began opening the pre-order list for W800i and they're getting it instock and ready to sell in retails in 2 weeks. The price is around $399.99(coverted to US currency) which now killed many websites who put the price up to $699.99. In 2 weeks we'll see, 2 weeks.

thats most likely crap

the w800 should be at least 100 USD more than that when it first comes out...coz its basicly a k750 with a 512 card... and a better lens cover..and diff mp3 system..so..yea

For what I see, there is still a possibility that the price might be that low due to the fact that K750i's price is dropping continuously and rapidly almost every week. Though in my point of view, it might be a bit more that $400 US around $450 should be more reasonable, but that's the price from Dubai, and the person already pre-ordered it with the price of $375 retailed price.

Also, a 512Mb card isn't that expensive as it was before. There is reasons to be able to shoot W800i with that price. I also disagree that W800i have different mp3 systems. Its nearly the same as K750i in firmware, just different in the opening menu since W800i has the ability to choose the modes to enter. That's about it. We'll see when Bengal Boys review their W800i soon.

The lens cover though, SE wouldn't make a mistake by making W800i having a better lens cover than K750i. We see Digital Cameras all around that have different lens cover with its own each unique way. As for your information as better lens cover, its more like your own personal opinion that W800i has better lens cover.

Another reason for the price to be low is that it doesnt have a auto focus.?!

And why are you returning your k750? The w800 in two weeks sounds about right.

It will be only 900/1800/1900 MHz all over the world. If you need the US version, they are coming up with the W600a which supports 850/1800/1900 MHz.
