OK this took several hours & hours on the ph...

Ip address field (1) leave blank 000.000.000.000
Get DNS Address automatically, tick box for no (or leave blank).
Ip address field (2) 193.113.200.200

USe PROXY SERVER: tick box for yes
Proxy server address: 193.113.200.195
Proxy server port: 8080
Proxy execptions: tick box for no (or leave blank).

Yes works on contract but can't really tell any difference. It won't work on PAYG as it uses different APN (I think) |

K peanut you might be right, and have a point here, as most people in this forum have only used the settings other than the ones i posted here, ie using the

instead of the usual setting of

ive got a nokia 6600 and was wondering whether someone could please help me i want free wap settings but im having no luckmy list looks like this
CONNECTION NAME:
DATA BEARER:choice of gprs/data call/ high speed (GSM)
ACCESS POINT NAME:
USERNAME:
PROMPT PASSWORD:choice of yes and no
PASSWORD:
AUTHENTICATION: choice of normal and secure
HOMEPAGE:
CONNECTION SECRITY: choice of on and off
SESSION MODE: choice of permanent and temporary
i then click options and advanced sttings and they read this
PHONE IP ADDRESS: nothing is typed here it just says automatic
PRIMARY NAME SERVER:says 0.0.0.0
SECOND NAME SERVER: says 0.0.0.0
PROXY SERV. ADDRESS:says 193.113.200.195
PROXY PORT NUMBER: 8080

ok to let you understand it a bit better, those settings i'm nearly sure are for a series 60 phone etc...
thats why there is so many options
i will make it clearer about the d500 setting in a min when i figure them out

Ok here's the D500 Settings i think, can't try them avent got a contract:
Profile Name: O2 Faster
Home URL: wap.o2.co.uk
Bearer: GPRS only
Proxy: Enable
GPRS settings
IP Address: 193.113.200.195
Port: 8080
APN: mobile.o2.co.uk
Login ID: faster
Password: password
can someone please try these and tell me if they work, if not i will tr them again

The settings from the first post work fine on my SE P910i and do seem to give a much faster connection. |
