Can anyone with an Orange K750 please tell me if they can edit their right joystick shortcut??

When Orange activated my phone, pressing up/left/down crashed the phone (flashed white 3 times then back on), then I realised all the shortcuts had disappeared. So I changed these... however, the RIGHT shortcut can't be changed!? I've selected something, and now it's permanent!

I also can not delete any items from the "my shortcuts" list in the activity menu. I can add shortcuts, which also adds around 4 blank links, but then I can't remove any of these!

you can only take that shortcut by DEBRANDING it with original SE firmware

anyway, I will still suggest u do it as I found the phone works much better after I flashed it to R1L ^v^

I flashed my Orange K750i with Davinci and all is fine with joystick. Plus I get the original Sony Ericsson icons!

Hehe, I called Orange and got one of the guys to try the 'right' shortcut on his supervisor's phone... he set it to the radio then couldn't change it.

Hopefully the (somewhat annoyed) supervisor will be a little more pro-active toward reporting this fault!

My dad bought yesterday an unbranded K750i fw R1A.

It still has the same permanent shortcut problem as you!
The first time he moved the joystick right (or up) it was prompted to choose something, but later he can't reassign that joystick shortcut!
The factory set shortcuts (down, left) instead can be strangely changed...

The icons are the unbranded ones! The cell is black unbranded!

Could a soft reset solve (temporarily) the problem? What other could be lost?
Maybe a fw update by SEUS?

Yes you can change the shortcuts on the Orange phone, however if you have R1A software then this is the problem. Due to there being so many bugs in the firmware, on occasions the phone either looses the short cuts and or wont allow you to edit them.

If you do a Reset Settings in the Master reset partm the short cuts are allowed to be changed, However if you update the firmware on the phone via the SE update site, Yuo can change move, edit or dio what ever you want with the shortcuts.
R1L is a vast improvement in the software, altho you do loose some slight quality in the vide camera.

This is not a Orange problem but most of the handset with R1A have the same problems. Update and the problem vanishes.

Thanks for the reply,

I knew about the vid quality issue (someone speaks also of photo quality issue) with newer firmwares..
That's because I was waiting to upgrade his K750... till a release good on *all* the aspects..

On that topic: months ago I had my K700 screwed up by SEUS and a DSS-20. Anyone got similiar problems with K750 and its USB cable? I do hope no, because my father would get angry for sure!

Bye,
Macco
