Sony Ericsson K750i vs. Nokia N91. |

I have looked at both these phones, and im leaning a bit towards the nokia for its design (not that the Sony Ericsson K750i is ugly) and the hard drive of 4gb! But then I looked a bit on the net and found that sony have announced a 4gb Memory Stick Pro Duo. How bout a K750i with a 4gb memory card!!!! That would be sooooooooo good. Will the k750i support this though?

Well... K750 is nowhere in the league of N91. But the thing is K750 is now whereas N91 is not expected for like 6 more months..
Here are few things about N91 which are not there in K750 (Leaving aside 4GB microdrive).
- Series 60 smartphone.
- 3G.
- WiFi 802.11g
- Standard mini USB port.
- USB 2.0 (not 1.1 like K750 (am I right here?))
- 3.5mm audio jack.
- 8 band equalizer, unlike 5 band in K750
- WMA playback support.
- Headset is with remote.
So N91 is much more feature rich, but then again, K750 can be in your hands now while N91 has to wait for another 6 months.

Now then. Let me trash some of these:P
I agree that the nokia has 3g, WiFi, is a series 60 smartphone and has a 8band equaliser while k750 only has 5 bands. However, u can buy a headset with remote for the k 750, k750i has 2.0 as far as i know, you get a USB cable with it to connect the phone to your computer, what do you need WMA support for!!!? ( I only use mp3 anyways), the k750i has a mini jack instead of a normal jack which you can just plug an adapter in and it will be like a normal jack. Then of course, also, if you did have a 4 gb memory card, you could use this in other devices other than the phone while the n91 has a built in microdrive, meaning the k750i would not need 2 be connected to the computer to transfer things: you could just take out the card and put it in a memory card reader... And of course the k750i weighs 99 grams while the n91 weighs 160 grams!!! What would u rather have?:P

i think the nokia is much better im afraid if only for having wifi it will be a dedicated music smartphone where as the k750 is a normal everyday phone the w800 is aimed more at the music people but i still think se will struggle if you must compare the nokia with another phone it must be the new samsung smartphone with the 3gig and windows |

its a shame... who would pay the money for it when it has a terrible cam... if ur gonna put a cam in a phone from this date onwards, it should match or be better than the k750's... |

So you agreed that main things (3G, series 60, Wifi) are not there at all in K750 therefore I won't mention those again. But others things you say...
You can buy anything or nothing extra but we are talking about the bundled package here.
And what do we need WMA for, well what do we need anything for? You can draw sketches on paper, lets not get a camera, you can use public phone booths, lets not use a phone at all.. Thing is the more the better, and point here is to see what is different in the two sets and which one is more advanced.
And for another thing, 4GB memory stick... Have you thought that how much will that cost you when it comes out (and when it comes out is another issue; my guess is around a year)? The price of 4GB MS would be more than the phone itself .
Don't get me wrong, I own K750 myself and its beautiful piece of gadget but N91 is something totally different and much more powerful.
Oh and I did forget another main thing N91 comes with embedded Opera with its small screen rendering capabilities. That alone justifies the extra weight

First of all, the 4gb pro duo is coming in july apparently, and will cost around 169 dollars (same as the 2gb costs now). And when u say it comes bundled with the phone, what does it matter as long as you have to pay so much more to get it bundled with the phone??? Id rather buy the remote separately then. I'm not saying that the n91 isn't more powerful than the k750i, it's just that I will personally never use WiFi, Opera or s60 series. The only thing I want is 2mp, video recording, mp3 playback, usb 2.0, a nice design, Internet, and a 4gb storage. Therefore it makes more sense to me to buy a Sony Ericsson k750i than the business phone n91 with features which I will never use anyway...

And also, on the official site of nokia n92, it says it has usb 1.2, mini usb interface, not 2.0 normal interface like you were talking about...

I guess you started this thread leaning towards N91 (obvious from your first post) and now you are speaking as if you are totally convniced by K750 and there is nothing good in N91 for you... If so is the case, why bother sweating out here. I rest my case... |

Theyre not in the same league, and the N91 will be released before 6 months.
