Im planning on purchasing a z800i while im in Malaysia to bring back to Australia and have a few questions regarding the yet to be introduced Sony Ericsson Update Service (SEUS) for the z800i.
One of the main reasons Im purchasing an unbranded original z800i handset is so that I can use it with the SEUS. Currently my 3 Australia branded z1010 wont work with the update service using a DSS-25.
The z800i im planning on purchasing in Malaysia will most likely have a Generic Hong Kong or Asian based CDA.
When the SEUS is eventually introduced for the z800i, will I have any issues running the update service from Australia?
Ive heard conflicting reports that it wont work on other forums. I dont think this is correct as technicaly any unbranded supported sony ericsson handset should work with the service regardless of where you are.
Any thoughts?
