Just wonderin what the differences are between the two phones. Are there any advantages or dissadvantages of each? Is there anyway to make the ones thats maybe worse into the better one?
Thanks in advance. |

its strange seeing this question yet again after all these years.
I could probably dig outa hundred threads to answer it but put simply
T68m was an Ericsson badged whereas T68i was Sony Ericsson badged
The big deal at the time was that the T68m firmware was initially delivered without MMS support although it was specified to have this but there were very few MMS servers in the world.
Once MMS has been ironed out a little the updated firmware was released in the T68i and it was also made available to be updated into the T68m
so I suppose the original T68m was missing this feature and so qualified as the "worst" of the two but it was able to be made exactly the same firmware wise and so ended up being equal in that respect

well, for me the t68i is just a cheap, plastic copy of the classic m version.

True the original T68 feels more solid than the 'i', and i have and have had several specimens of both. Also i would advice against "upgrading" a T68m with 'i' firmware as they are worth more with the more unusual original fw. I have downgraded my T68īs back to the last 'm'-firmware as i feel it feels more genuine when the whole phone is in itīs original shape.
You want to send MMS and sh....tuff, get a cheap 'i' model
