It seems normal to me for a VGA camera, and yes sometimes pictures changes slightly after updates. The most common thing they change are the compression used.. its allways a balance between size and quality. |

That picture looks perfectly ok for an indoor VGA picture.
It wont get much better than that.
Firmware updates can improve on cameraquality, but only very litle and only if its not allready optimised as much as possible which it propably is. Most important are the quality of the cameramodule itself, not the firmware. |

K750 used to take better pictures with it's original firmware 3.8. after updating to firmware 4.4 (R1J), camera quality has been downgraded. i think firmwares make difference to camera.

Its videocam quality that has been downgraded on the new firmware R1J, and this is simply because it use much lower bitrate in the new firmware, nothing else. The normal cameraquality is more or less the same.
Point is, a VGA cam hardware and the lenses used in mobiles are of so low quality that there are very very litle you can do in software to improve quality, and the picture posted look absolutely normal for an indoor VGA cam shot. I assure you that you wont see any revolutionary changes in the quality of these VGA pictures through firmware, so dont hold your breath |
