Its a perfectly reasonable question. Getting the answer though may be difficult.

Vodafone NZ (our only GSM network) won't supply sales figures either.
Car manufacturer's supply sales figures whether they are good or bad, why are cellphones different?

gr3gg0,
I'm glad that you have a good time here
Just want to remind you about one proverb
"There is not a stupid questions just stupid answers"
Anyway,
It's seems that this is a bussines secret,
I hear that T610 is one of the best saled phone of all time, but I never find any numbers.
And I agree with carkitter if car salers can provide such info why phones manufactorys should be different,
would be interesting to know.

I heard the T610 was the best seller too, but that information was from one unofficial and dubious source which was Krusell or Krussell - the company that makes the leather phone covers.
The T610 was their best seller which doesn't prove anything other than T610 owners care more about their handsets

if they are a listed company you should be able to find out all the details. i believe listed companies have to publish all details down to how much the tea lady get s paid.
or you could look at the global figures for the year the t610 was releasied and have an educated guess at how much of that figure it made up. i would say it would be well over 50% of the sales for that year |

@Slattery69
Well the T610 is roughly 2 years old and it didn't peak in sales until Autumn 2004 from what I seem to remember.
@maki
Gartner publishes figures but I don't think they do for individual models although it may be a good place to start.

I don't know about individual models but always announce their quarterly results which includes total volume shipped
for example here is a thread for the last announcement
Sony Ericsson reports 2005 First Quarter Results
