Q: Best Memory Stick Duo for K750i? |
flexnez Joined: Jun 04, 2005 Posts: 14 PM |
I'm sure I'm not alone being a little confused about what kind of Memory Stick Duo expansion solution to get, so if anyone with the proper knowledge could enlighten me and others on the topic, I'd be grateful.
- First theres the question on MS Duo PRO or non-PRO, what's the difference?
- Is it unsafe to go with a non-SONY card?
- In the tech-spec it mentions 1GB as max, but there are bigger MS cards, how come?
Thanks! |

The K750i.... can go upto the maximum in memory capactiy available...
The memory stick duo max is 128MB
The memory stick duo pro max currently available is 2GIG
Ive used sony and sandisk based and never have had any issues with them as memory cards...
Hope this helps

- Normal Duo only goes up to 128MB, Duo Pro can go up to 32GB.
- It should be no problem, unless it's some pirate-card or something. (Sandisk and Lexar are ok)
- I've seen people with 2GB, and I have tried formatting a card with FAT32, which means it should actually work with 32GB cards. But there could still be a limit.
I don't think anyone knows what the limit is right now. It's not 1GB anyway. |

You can buy faster.... hi speed type cards which are more expensive... but they are faster in transfer rate... especially good when you get large cards like.... 1GB and over

MS Duo Pro supports up to 32GB, it's not something we will see for a long time, but that's the limit. Like normal Duo only supports up to 128MB, that's why they made Pro.
I have no idea how fast the K750i is, but there's probably differences between normal Duo cards and Pro cards. Then we have these 10MB/s and 20MB/s cards, they do work but probably not in that speed. |
