Heres the story, my brother rings up over 3 months ago to cancel his contract with them, thinking everything is sorted and he is moving over to o2 pay as you go after discussing witht eh woman on the otehr end whether he wanted more minutes or texts for free using payg. He then gets a bill forthe month later for his month he was giving his 30days notice. The month later he gets scrrewed and is told he has to pay another month, disgusting but presuming there was a mistake he pays, and sorts it out again with them that the account be canceled.... but guess what once again another bill has been sent today tellin him he has to pay yet again for the last month... now for somoeon who cancelled months agao... he should not be paying anything towarrds not having a connection... i thouhgt thats how the world works... or is that just me being daft please tell me if im being stupid!!!! |

o2 may be cheap, but they suck at looking after their existing customers

precisely... and its starting to make me worry as im in the process of switching between o2 and orange simply because of their extremly poor customer service. Its nice to here a geordie when im on the phone to orance customer service... instead of sanjay and gita for timbuctoo. Not that im being racist but they dont seem to know what they are talking about |

i disagree, there are always a few isolated cases of unhappy cutomers, mine have been with vodafone and orange.
o2 have always never given me any cause for complaint
and i see people moaning about every network there is, on esato. |

I would imagine from what i hear on here that o2 need to do some work though! And from personal experience all of my family, plus me missis family rave about orange... and so do i. Put heres the point i want to raise... what is there that i can do if im screwed over in the same way my brother was. I'm all done with o2, one moremonths payment to go out and thats it... direct debit cancelled... so what if they want me to pay the month after... i have one lil f word for them... but i need some type of technical reason i aint payin any more |

I agree with Orange having a good customer service. Our company mobiles (which I am in charge of) are on an Orange contract and they always are happy to help, and they are always english, unlike o2 who divert you to india for customer service.
When will companies learn that this not the best way to please your customers! |

Best way I can see to cancel your contract Steve is to go into your local O2 shop in the Potteries Shopping centre. Take a written cancelation with you and ask them to cancel your subscription with O2. They should fax off your letter (make sure its dated) and also phone them for you which saves your phone bill as you would be put on hold for a good while
If there are any further problems thenyou can go back to the shop and have it out with them instead of some faceless voice.
I tried sniffing coke once but didnt like it. The bubbles kept going up my nose |

| I'm Asian myself and these fools get right on my wick, too ! When I say I don't want your crappy 3G brick phone even it's for 2p line rental, they still don't take no for an answer. Got my phone company (NTL) to withold these nuisance calls & so far, peace. |

O2 don't have any call centers in India or outside the UK. The main ones are in Leeds, Bury, Inverness, Cardiff and Dern Valley with a new one opening up in Glasgow soon.
Obviously, I cannot comment on the service - but you did cancel the contract when you was one month away from the end of the contract? Or over the contract?
