I have been trying to update the software on my unbranded K750i via the SE update service on their site.

The service does not seem to be working. Can anyone confirm that the site is not functioning at the moment?

When you say it's not working, are you receiving the "operator does not permit" error? If so, this is because the service is offline at present due to the problems with R1J. Otherwise, if you're not getting to that stage, it will be something like Java needs updating. [addsig]

i have read somewhere on these forums of someone coming across the same problem. Apparently you need to update your Java on your pc to the latest version. Go to http://www.java.com/en/download/download_the_latest.jsp

Yep, definitely sounds like a Java problem. Let us know if it sorts it. [addsig]

i got the same problem actually and i didnt think that it could be a problem with the java on my PC so i just updated that and i had prviously installed the Update Service USB driver, so then i uninstalled that and now i cannot install it again at all. Its to do with the holding the C button down thing and i cant install that any ideas on what to do?

Cheers

@duffball2. ditto. it was previously working for me but is not working this afternoon.

in the main k750 firmware thread there is talk of a new firmware version R1L being available at davinci so perhaps is currently working on its availablity on SEUS. The same downtime happens just prior to P series upgrades too

lets wait a while and see perhaps?
