There are far too many posts for me to get my head round on this matter... And i wasnt sure i'd be able pick things out specific for me.
Anyway, what bugs arent on the original release of the K750!
I've just brought it on Orange and everything seems to mess up. It freezes it seems all the time. So i thought simple i know ill update the firmware with the online update and things will be slightly better.... hmmm i get to the stage of connecting the phone etc and the program says said off operator not suppported! Anybody know when an Orang ephone will be supported on the update service. My current firmware is R1A044

Have you tried taking the phone into an orange shop? - i work in one and as far as i remember seeing there was a notice posted on the intranet about some of the phones having a fault and that we should be able to replace them. (as i say i think i seen this, i was off last week so still getting caught up with any changes in proceedures!)
If you purchased online, you may need to go through to orange customer services to deal with it.
As for upgrading the firmware, i tried upgrading mine this afternoon and got the same error message, so orange must have it locked in someway that you can;t change the firmware without them first initiating it. Possibly they will test it first and then contact SE to ask them to allow orange users to upgrade their phones. Just a thought?
Orange have a habit of making little changes to phones, the Nokia 3230 is a prime example, i got my brother one and it has a darn customised menu from orange that won't allow him to change backgrounds when he changes his theme, rather annoying. |

I dont mind the branding on orange phones... and the k750 has ahrdly any in my opinion even the menu icons dont bother me... its just the phone really needs aa firmware update as the phone is consiistnetly freezing up. Hmmm |

yeah the branding is as you say not too bad in the k750i.
Tho if you are still having problems with your phone in terms of the crashes and stuff it might be an idea to get it replaced. I have a k750i from orange and its working grand, no crashes or problems with the original firmware. Mine was from the first batch we got into the store. |

I've got an Orange k750i, with the origional firmware mine was buggy. However I managed to update mine ok using SESU... Had to hunt arround for some new drivers (you can find a link to them on the forum somewhere) just followed the instructions on the SE website and it worked a treat. It also changed the menu items back to the SE ones too. |

Orange themselves don't block the SEUS. Sony Ericsson have blocked it for all phones due to the problems with R1J002. A new firmware is expected shortly, at which point I assume the SEUS will be available again.

I get the impression its just the batch from the online sales maybe. Its not unusable but its irritating. Like when i recieve a text while ona game the phone just freezes. I brought mine online. What would they do if i took it into my local orange shop in hanley |
