I don't seem to get good signal from orange compared to my bro#s phone on voda which gets signal everywhere in my house, i used to find signal fine with my 7610 on oragne but my d500 finds it hard

is it my d500 problem or my sim [addsig]

Certain phone just have diferent signal sensitivity - My T39m and dads 6310i finds orange fine, but my old Nokia 7110 doesnt like it at all!

Mostly whatever Djpowelly said about signal sensitivity is rite. You might rather have better luck with those single line, with ant'ne, mono LCD Siemens, Moto or Panasonic or some NEC pieces than our 21st century gizmodo's

I think it's fair to say that Vodafone has better coverage than Orange. I'm on Orange and in some places it's great, but in others (including my house) it's very poor. [addsig]

I'm not disputing the differences of signal strength with different handsets, but reading some of these posts, it seems that Orange does indeed have some very weak signal pockets in parts of London. Where I live in the east of the capital, the signal strength and reception is particularly bad. Even at work, only ten minutes away, the signal is only marginally better.
I tried O2 and Virgin simcards in the same handset and instantly, on all of them, there was full signal.
Network coverage will obviously fluctuate from place to place and network to network, but there seems to be a bit of a trend regarding Orange's iffy coverage here at the mo..
