OS X doesn't mount K750i per USB-cable |

Hi there
The strangest thing: When I connected my K750i per USB-cable to
my Mac (OS X, 10.3), I got a message that some driver is not installed
etc. When I try it again, the message doesn't appear anymore and
it doesn't mount the phone either.
Anyone? |

Can't say I have the same problem, mine works ok for me. Using a 15" PowerBook
However switching the phone off or disconnecting the cable, without ejecting it first in OS X, causes a kernel panic.
I know you should do this anyway but this is the first of my many USB/FireWire devices to ever live up to the threat.
Edit: After re-reading your thread, I notice your using Panther, correct? I'm using Tiger, maybe that has something to do with it.

Thanx for your answer.
Say, do you have USB 2.0. Could it have
something to do with that? |

Yup, the PowerBook is only a year old and I'm 99% sure it has USB 2. Try the Tiger thing as it sounds like a drivers sort of thing more than USB 2, as I think USB 2 is backwards compatible.
Just an idea though!

In my Office I got a G5 Dual with exactly the same OS and it works
Something with my drivers is not ok, the phone works.
At least that!

I also coundn't mount the K750i on my old PM G4. It was showing in the System Profiler, but wasn't mounting, or showing in Disk Utilities or in /Volumes.
Solution? Instead of pluging it in the keyboard USB (or another USB hub, I guess) I plugged it straight into the USB port on the back!
Everything works now! |
