Sorry guys...
Got this answer from Extended Systems when inquiring about syncronization software :
-------------------------------
Thank you for your inquiry. The XTNDConnect PC product has been provided
as an OEM product to many handheld and phone customers. Until now none
of our OEM customers have had the requirement to develop a solution that
runs on the Mac O/S. Providing a solution that works on the Mac O/S
platform will take a considerable amount of time to develop on Extended
Systems side, further the communication suites that ship with some of
our OEM customers also would have to be implemented on the Mac O/S
platform. Until there is a profitable market opportunity or request from
our OEM partners we don't have any immediate plans to develop a Mac O/S
solution.
-------------------

It seems that we'll not get software from the Extended Systems for a looong time...

Using VirtualPC 4 in Pismo (PB G3, firewire) one can connect to T68 quite easily by infrared. I have only tried the send and backup software (http://www.christersson.org/www/default.asp) but would think that most things will work. You just install the required Mobile Phone Monitor from SonyEricsson to make it work. I actually had to move some supporting files of the send-program manually to the system folder in VirtualPC to make the computer to see the phone (the installation did not work automatically). Sending backround images is really easy, just remeber to quit the send application before moving the phone; otherwise the Windows will freeze (would need a forced quit).
