i've got my k700i paired up to my pc using bluetooth. now the thing is i want to use the bluetooth modem to connect the normal dialup connection instead of using my phone line. [i'm sure u ppl understand it isn't gprs what i'm asking]. the phone starts connecting and then returns back stating error 678 the remote computer didn't respond. i'd done it earlier with my t310 ir and it connected successfully. now what do i do please help me.. |

Please, post how you made dial-up connectio step by step. It's not caused by the operator he you're still using old sim.

hi dude. i paired my cell using XP's in built bluetooth service in SP2. then i opened a serial port on com port 9. then i went and saw a k700 bluetooth modem was installed. i put the number along with area code and used the bluetooth modem and dialled. i'd done the same when i'd connected through IR. it had got connected in a jiffy then. don't know what happens now. the cell shows calling the number and then disconnects |

What number you entered? Are you using gsm instead gprs dial up? When i create isp, i set it up manually, always look if my pc modem is checked, and if it is uncheck it. I use gprs account for connection, the dialing number for that is *99**1# (actually the last number is cid of gprs account on your phone) you also have to provide user id and pass. You can try to remove your connection and reinstall it again.

As far as I can tell, your BT connection and phone are functioning perfectly. ISP or wireless provider problem. You've done it with your T310 IR "earlier" ... how "earlier" exactly?
Oh wait... you're using XP SP2 with built-in driver. You should use your BT adapter's own driver instead. This is a known problem. Perform a search here or on the net. Search for "XP SP2 Bluetooth".
