I was playing a java game on my SET610 which used a combination of the keys 2,4,6,8,0,*,# and the joystick and somehow managed 2 bring up the following screen during game play:
Personalize
Network (with a open padlock symbol next to it)
When selected: Lock Network 4 NCK:
Network subset (with a open padlock symbol next to it)
When selected:Lock NetSub 5 NSCK:
SP (with a closed padlock symbol next to it)
When selected: Unlock (SP) 4 SPCK:
Corporate (with a open padlock symbol next to it)
When selected: Lock (Corp) 4 CCK:
What extactly is this menu and what does these things mean? How did i manage to bring this screen up while playing my game?
My profile said it was updated, so i'm worried that i may have done something to my SET610.
Can someone please advise!

It's one of service menus. Don't worry about it.

@blayv: Oh, ok. Is it a hidden mobile engineer service menu?
@ EastCoastStar: Yes that's the one! What are these? Sim/network locks or something?

Ah, so they are sim/network locks then. Now being curious you explain the status of these "locks" that came up on the screen?
Ok. So the handset can able to be unlocked to any network by inputting these codes into these locks to open them ... right?

@ EastCostStar: You mean a Terminator Dongle that allows to unlock, un-brand and/or upgrade/flash the firmware of the SE T610.
@ blayv:: I went into the service menu of my phone using >*<<*<* then to Service Info and then SIMLock to checkthe status.
I got on my screen:
SIMlock
Network: (padlock open) 4
Network subset (padlock opened) 5
Service provider (padlock closed) 4
Corprate (padlock open) 4
Would someone please explain what exactly what these locks mean its its a bit confusing.
Is the phone closed to the service provider Orange only but it yet the network/network subset says it is open? Do these locks refer to the GSM frequencies it uses? What is the Corprate thing mean as well?
EDIT: I was researching information about the SIMlocks and i actually found this important part on another mobile forum:
Quote:
| Under this menu, it will tell you if you phone is unlocked or not.
If the lock is opened, that means it is unlocked.
After the lock/unlock symbol there is a number. This number represents the attempts of locking this phone.
You get five tries. If the number is less than five, then someone has attempted to unlock the phone at some point in time and failed. |
|
Now that has got me worried as does that mean those locks which have 4 next to them mean i have somehow accidently attempted to unlock my phone whilst using playing the game and using the key/joystick combinations and its failed hence reducing the number of tries?
Will this affect if i decide to unlock the phone in the future? What would happen to the phone if all the other attempts left went to zero?

thats not what the numbers mean. im not exactly sure what they mean, but i knwo its not that. and your phone is locked to a service provider, thats why the lock is closed.
btw. the terminator dongle isnt only for the t610... its for any SE (exept the phones with the new connectors)

I have read around forums that on most UK T610 there should b "5" (depending on what provider your on) on all the 4 locks.
Can someone with a SE T610 possible on Orange UK contact please confirm this?
3 of mine has been reduced to 4, hence why i am worried.
Yeah i know its to unlock SE handsets including the T610. The only other way i could possible get it unlocked other then going to the SE center or ask Orange (which may cost me).
