If you download the "black and white" theme from Themes on Esato and select a profile except for Normal (since you can't change that name) and change the name of the profile name to your name it will show on the display.

actulally the profile name displays whenever you turn the background off!

this is an old trick on nokias.Time just went by...(but for someone who did not own a nokia its probably nice)

with the background on and selecting profile other than normal, the profile name will not display but an icon will be displayed on the right middle portion of the screen.

i have a better one...i made my own theme with photoshop and theme creator and i put everywhere my name ie,As a backgorund in the main menu,my name in the menus subtitle,and my picture on screen...Really great...

I use cloned sim where by defoult it ads text line under operator where u can add name or actiw nr. Abaut firmware i hav don it on 688,768,788. Got to try on 68.

hack the firmware...sounds hard, time consuming, and warranty invalidating...also maybe slightly techie...i think ill leave that one for you lot to write a guide book entitled 'firmware hacking for dummies' before i try that [addsig]

I'm new to this too.
Is there any way to take off the cellular company's name? When I use the instructions above, I get a blank background, but with "Cingular" then my name underneath it. Is there anyway to have a background with just my name?
