*Original first post*
Anyone tried this and got it to work?
How do I make a call with the Bluetooth Headset using voice commands?
1. Press the Call handling button, which is on the front of the headset next to the display.
2. It may take a while to set up the connection between the phone and the headset. During this time you'll hear a repeated “beep”. When you hear a deeper “beep”, voice dialling is activated and a symbol of a speech bubble will be shown in the display.
3. Say the name of the person you want to call. Wait until you hear a confirmation (if not, try again).
4. After the deep “beep”, say the number type you want to call, for example, “Home”. Wait until you hear a confirmation (if not, try again).
5. The phone will now make the phone call.
Im thinking about the number type. like Home.
Should i record a Home also and mobile?
it works like a charm now, I can say the name and it hooks up good. But i cant see to get the Name and then say "Home" to work. My contact that i tries this with has 3 diffrent numbers, home mobile and work.
So anyone got this working? I hear two blips when i press the button on the 662 to make a voice rec call. But isnt just the first blip the 662 that activates the voice rec? and the deep one is where i say the name? or should i rec on booth blips?

As it is now, i press the headset button, and just say the name, and it works flawless,
but the FAQ text insiniuate that i also can choose wich number to call by saying the type of number (home, work, mobile).
And i dont see how thats done! cause i havent record my voice for home or mobile, so im thinking on how they want me to do this.

@Libben--that system was changed between T630 and the K700. The K700 and K750 let you record a voice tag for each number; the t6x0 had you record a voice tag for the contact and a universal tag for each number type, making VR a two-step process. Some people preferred the old system; I prefer having a single-stage thing, not least because I could never make it recognize my "Home" command. When you record a voice tag in your K750, it's attached to that number, not the contact, so there's no second stage. If you want voice tags for each number a contact has, you record them separately. Just say "Bob Mobile" or "Bob Home" or whatever. |

When you enable "Voice Answer" and record the commands, it should prompt you for which "environments" you want it enabled. Unless one of those environments is "Bluetooth" (It isnt on my k750), you can't use voice answer on your headset.
Weirdly, this is yet another feature that was available on earlier phones and not on this one (or on the k700 with most firmware versions, though with later firmwares I think they eventually got it right).
One (two) other tactical/etiquette points--Go ahead and start a new thread if you've got a completely different question and it isn't already being discussed somewhere else. It beats making a mess out of both your original post and this whole thread, and it's less confusing.
Second, try using more descriptive subject lines, like--"Will voice answer work with K750 and and HBH-662 headset?" |

true about the subject, but it wasnt my original post from the beginning. It was another issue, and instead of creating a new topic about it, i went in here and wrote it, then i started to thinking that no one scrolls down to read more in a thread that allready seem to have a good answer, so i edited the first post and made it there.
so whats this meaning? i can voice dial with my hbh662 without a problem. why shouldent this feature works with 662? i got 2 enviroments:
car handsfree and port.handsfree.
this is really weird, they only want me to use voice answering function with the earpiece that comes with teh phone? weird. havent tryed it if it works with that. but it would be neat to be able to answer with my bluetooth set. cause i work with logistic, and dont allways has my hands free to push the button on the ear.
Anyone mailed SE about it? i want this shit UPDATED. ffs. im gonna complain about this =)

Can't see it ever working with a BT headset - until the call is answered/connected the audio link between the phone and headset is not actually active so I don't see how it would be possible to answer or busy a call using voice commands. This would apply to pretty much any phone and any BT headset I would have thought.

@sleepyhead--It did work with some phone/headset combos in the past. The connection becomes active when the phone starts ringing, since the headset also rings, so I don't see that there's a big problem in that regard. Magic word would obviously be a different story. The problem with the K700 was that voice answer was disabled, in certain firmware versions, when you had an MP3 ringtone, presumably out of fear that the headset would interpret the ringtone as the answer command and answer itself... (Guessing here...)
@libben--yes, you can use it with the wired headset. That's what the Port. Handsfree environment is for. |

Suppose it may work with some headset/phone combos but it does rely on the voice link already being active. In SE headsets and most other headsets I have used the voice link is not active until such time as you press the answer button to answer the call (at which point the call is answered and voice is transferred to the headset) - the headset ringing when the phone rings does not mean the voice link itself is active. |
