Some questions about the K750i… |

I’m planning to get the K750i soon – although am thinking about waiting until after June so that I get the updated firmware (and so that any doubts in my mind can be dispelled) – but I do have a few questions first (not listed in order of importance, rather in order of how I thought of them after coming out of a drunken state  ).
1 – In regards to having people’s details in my address book, is it possible to have groups? Or add special notes in regards to a contact?
2 – Is there any way to change the icons seen when I go to the main menu? Personally I prefer the sort of icons found in the T610, compared to those found in the newer SE phones (K500i, K700i, K750i, S700i, etc.).
3 – How many SMS can be stored?
4 – What games does it come with by default?
5 – Am I right in thinking that I can upgrade the firmware myself by using the USB cable and all that provided with the phone? How exactly would this be done? By just plugging the USB cable into my phone and my computer or …?
6 – I presume I’ll be able to upload .m4a files from my computer to my phone via the USB cable. Am I correct?
7 – I presume then I can also easily transfer other things such as images, videos, etc. easily from phone to computer and vice versa using the USB cable, correct?
8 – In regards to the calendar, is it any different to that on the T610?
9 – Is the way “Calls” works any different from the T610?
10 – How good is the radio function? Is it worth it, or is it a waste of time / space? This was a factor in choosing the K750i over say the Z800i.
11 – How resistant is the screen? I currently have the Z600, and love the fact that since it’s a clamshell the screen is still like new.
12 – How good is the media player? (Basically how good is it at playing .m4a files – what is the sound quality like? Etc.)
13 – Is the way “Tasks” works any different from the T610?
14 – How many “Notes” am I able to have? And I presume I’ll be able to post (display) a note?
15 – How improved is the music recorder, if at all?
16 – What is speaker volumes like?
17 – What is reception signal like? GPRS signal pickup like?
18 – Is there anything else I should know?

1. AFAIK yes, but i havent tested this feature.
2. No.
3. Nobody seems to have a definite answer yet, but some people state 150, some say 200, and some say it limited by memory only
4. 3D Tennis, 3D Aero Mission, Puzzle Slider
5. Yes, phone + cable + computer + SEUS website = updates
6. Yes, you can upload via the cable
7. Yes
8. Pretty much identical, but streamlined
9. Not really, except it can now be managed from the activities menu
10. Its is very good. A huge improvement over the K700i, and the loudspeaker plays FM stations much louder
11. It'll show marks like the T610 did, and scratch if you're not careful, so its best to buy a case
12. The media player is great, you can create playlists and skip between music tracks and videos using the joystick. Sound quality is very good.
13. Identical AFAIK
14. Yes, and AFAIK you can have 10 notes, just like other SE phones
15. Pretty much the same
16. Loudspeaker is better quality, still mono though, but much louder
17. As good as the K700i, which was great IMO
18. Yes, buy the phone, it has a 2mp camera !

Is video quality (in 3gp) superior in k750, when compared to k700?
I mean really superior? The same codec is used, so there shouldn't be any better qualities... or am i missing something ?

did u just say that the speaker is mono on point #16 ?!!
as far as i know...its a stereo speaker with outstanding quality |

No the speaker is mono. You can also have upto 25 notes, greta as I always ran out on the T630. |

Yes it is superior in video quality.
Yes, i said the speaker is mono (because it is, its just a better mono speaker than most).

I got some questions too:
- Does it have ONLY ARM CPU? Does somebody know the exact type of the CPU?
- What BT does it have? I thought it has 1.2 but afaik the k750 whitepaper says 2.0..?
- JAVA can access file system -> does it mean that we could use an external gps system with it?

Ok now i'm sure that u can use gps on it with a software called Wayfinder! ;-)
But what about bt? 1.2 or 2.0? It's quite an important thing imo..
