Has anyone noticed that gif files on the K750i run slower than the K700i? |

Could be a bug, what do you mean by slower. Moving gif file's frame rates are slower?
Many people have had problems running vids on their K7s, what is your firmware and where did you purchase the phone.

I don't know specifically but many people on 02 have had problems, and sometimes branded phones get bugs. I don't own the phone so can't tell you until i research, but if you check out some of the threads lying about!

SE phones seem to handle GIF images rather poorly compared to phones from Motorola and some Samsung ones.
Shame, as it would be nice to see that water droplets GIF from the Motorola display in full frame rate. |

Well it's barely noticeable, but when you put the same animated GIF on a T610, a K700i and a K750i, you'll see that the K700i is faster, then the K750i, and then the T610 is way slower than the others! Not really a problem though, I thought the K700i was a little bit too fast to be honest...

Not really, theres not a single k7 in the world that has had problems running vids, but many people have had problems understanding even the most basic guides on how to actually create vids, or understanding basic rules on playable videoformats, resolutions, bitrates etc.
you can hardly blame the phone for peoples ignorance.
dont mean to sound cocky or anything, but you know how it works, one wrong statement like this, and tomorrow forums are flooded with ignorants stating there are problems with k7's videoplaybackperformance because they have read it somewhere, lets not start wrong roumours.

the k700 plays gifs way smoother than any other phone (including motorala). the k750 is slower and buggy, most likely will be sorted out with new firmware release |

I know a few people that have had their phone crashing whilst playing vids and opening pics!

I have to agree with numb, people need to stop assuming bad things about such topics.
roopi, how do you know the K750i is slower and buggy ? has it occured to you that maybe SE thought the K700i played GIF files a little too fast ?
My K750i plays them slower than my K700i too, but im not bothered about it, in fact i prefer it. On my K700i some GIFs were impossible to watch because they played so fast, on my K750i the speed is about the same as they play on my computer - about normal.
Dont assume the phone is slow, when really nobody knows whether SE intentionally slowed the GIFs down or not.

I agree, it's natural for bugs to appear!

Try the water droplets screensaver from Motorola, you wont be saying the K7 plays them too fast then! |

I agree the gif files play as fast as on my computer too, I don't think it's a bug and I thought too that the K700 played them a little bit too fast...
DC-UK, can you please provide a link to the droplet gif you're talking about?
