I'm a bit stuck...
I've got no clue how to do this the easy way;
A customer has bought a 6260 of me and has asked me to transfer his contact list from his old 9210 to the 6260.
Big mouthed as I am I said OK, but now I deeply regrtet my actions
How do I do this more easily than beaming one contact at the time via IR? Is there a "Send all contacts" option on the old 9210?

What it all boils down to is; I'm in dire straights here!
Someone with a bit of Nokia knowldge please help...

I think oxygen phone manager could be of help...but i doubt whether the 6260 is supported by it. _________________ Never put off till tomorrow what you can avoid all together.

I've never had anything against Nokia but...
I'm still working on this!
Why not just have the "send all" option and beam the whole thing over via IR?!!!
No, listen to this; Install PC Suite for Nokia 9210i, do a back up, move contacts over to Outlook, uninstall PC suite for 9210i, install PC suite for 6260 and sync it.
I started on this 3 1/2 houres ago and I'm still on the back up of the 9210!!!

Come on Nokia!
You've got to find an easier way to do this!

Can you not do it via a SIM card?

My (backup) Nokia 1100 has "Copy > From phone to SIM card" and "Copy > From SIM Card to phone" in the Phonebook menu.

You likely need PC suite to do that all at once.

I've given up!!!
My Outlook is too new, the contacts can't be copied to SIM and by moving them to the memorystick they become "unreadable" for a PC.
When I opened this topic I had been at it for an hour or so.
Now; I'm throwing in the towel!!!

It is a simple task. Don't crucify Nokia yet. I've done this kind of things several times, and help others to do it over the phone.

Open the Phonebook Contacts in 9210
From the 9210, select Copy All Contacts to Sim Card
Remove the Sim Card from the 9210 and insert in 6260
Open the Contacts in 6260 and navigate to the Sim Card
Select Copy All Contacts to Phonebook

That should solve your problem.

@diakim

Copying to SIM card is an old fashion way. First of all SIM cards cannot hold long names, and cannot sort all contact info such as multiple numbers, address and e-mails.

That's why I love SE you have the option to send EVERYTHING with a click of a button.
