i have searched the site and im still left wandering.
i have a k700i its branded to t-mobile but its unlocked and im using 02.
my question is....
when i wanna blue jack people. (i.e just send friends in a pub a picture or something) i have to set a password. ok i read somewhere on here that someone said the default password is 0000. but if i type this in as a password I'M setting will my friend need to also type this in or is this a way to connect automatically without him having the password?
cheers for all your help.

Search for the "I did something naughty today" thread. You don't need to enter a password to bluejack.

You can send images, sounds, etc to another phone without pairing the devices. Usually you only pair devices for other operations such as gaming or dial up access. It is not neccessary for sending an image or sound.
Most, if not all bluetooth enabled phones will not accept a picture or sound without the user accepting.
The exception to this rule are notes and contacts. Some phones automatically accept notes and contacts without alerting the user they are there. Most newer phones will prompt the user and some Nokia's even display the name of the phone the item is coming from (so don't bluejack any Nokia 6230's, they will see the phone name).
Just create a contact and assign a picture to it and if the phone automatically accepts contacts it will take the picture too! |

You do not need a password tobluejack. Just put a msg into a new contact "first name" and send it via bt.
