I got a K750i on saturday from CPW and have noticed that there is a dead pixel right in the middle of the screen, didn't notice this at first but now can't see past it. Does anyone know if either SE or CPW has a policy on this type of problem, I've done a search and could not find any info. The phone is better that I had hoped and has not shown any signs of bugs beyond losing the shortcut on joystick after restarting. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Not a big problem but a bit disapointing

Cheers

Companies expect dead pixels from time to time and so try to wangle their way out of giving you a replacement (well, Nokia do anyway, not sure about SE) and tell you its normal.

Take the phone back, and say you're not happy with it and want a replacement, and that it keeps crashing, restarting and cutting off. They should replace it.

If you just say it has a dead pixel, the shop might refuse to do anything about it.

No reason they shouldn't swap out a phone with a dead pixle, if the shop doesn't I'd imagine SE's service center would repair it.

They don't seem to have a problem covering it down here anyhow.

Ask them about their dead pixel policy. Many companies who sell products with LCD's have them now.
