hi, i am about to be given a friends dead T610. the switch has broken so he am unable to switch it on. He claims that he used to be able to switch it on through putting it on charge without using the power button. he says this nolonger works and the joystick just lights up. would changing the switch solve this problem as i dont understand why it wouldnt charge, maybe the switch is jammed down. where would i be able to get a replacement switch, preferrably on a uk website. thanks. |

you would have to solder the switch back on probably. connecting the charger on repeatedly may turn the pohne on mate. |

he says that the switch is soldered on properly but the tops flat. he says that nothing looks broke though. |

what did the service say? that would be the best solution imo, to let it check by experts

im trying too keep it as cheap as possible to get running again, would the switch jammed in prevent it from turning on via the charger? |

Have you not taken the back cover off to see for yourself? The switch is flat and should click down very slightly when pressed. I would take the top back cover off as well the switch cover and see. The phone is switched on by pressing and holding.
