Since you're using Ubuntu, why don't you try the Ubuntu Forums?
Synaptic allows you to install programs easily. However, by default, the repositories are limited. Just search for info in the Ubuntu forums on how to add new repositories.
For burning CDs, look/install gnomebaker. (thought Nautilus CD burner is already installed by default).
I use the following apps for my phone/bluetooth:
Multisync - for synching with the phone
Gnome Phonemanager
Gnome Bluetooth
For P2P, BitTornado seems to be recommended often. (I don't use any.) Oh, and there's limewire too, if you like that. |
