K700 - can't sync since R2AY |

Has anyone had trouble syncing over bluetooth since they got R2AY? I can't ever since! Is it just a coincidence?
I'm using SE SyncStation version 1.5.5.3c, just got it from SE website.
Well, I thought maybe it was some kind of conflict between DSS and BT Serial port, so I have removed DSS. Still nothing. Phone Monitor doesn't even show up on the tray, trying to find the phone.
I have already triple-checked COM ports configs and all... SE FAQ was useless as can be with this... What could I be missing?

Can you provide more info?
Are you able to connect you phone using bt to transfer files? If you can, what happens when you launch Sync Station? Does mobile monitor appear in the toolbar and have a green tick? If not then you may want to try re-configuring this. Perhaps remove all settings and add your phone as a new device. This may sort out your probs.
Having said that it could be the Sync Station software. I remember when I upgraded to R2AE033 that the Sync software started to have all sorts of problems and created numerous duplicat entries. Eventually they have fixed these problems with newer sync station software. Perhaps this new firmware requires an update to the sync station software which is why they have not released it on their SEUS yet? |

Yes, I can transfer files from the phone to the PC, and use all other BT features, eg RC.
Sync'ing:
I connect the BT Serial Port, and the BT icon turns green and all. When I launch Sync Station, the SyncStation icon shows up in the toolbar, but not the Monitor icon (not even with the yellow flashing tick - the icon doesn't show up at all). A window immediately pops-up:
Launcher
Failed to start synchronization.
No connection.
I have already uninstalled and reinstalled the whole thing a couple of times, but nothing solved my problem. In the Phone Monitor settings in Windows Control Panel, I have already checked the COM port, it's the same as the one indicated in "My BT Places" (the desktop icon, I'm not sure what it's called in English). But my phone and SIM card don't show up in the list of phones - but that should be updated automatically once I launch SyncStation, right? There's no "Add phone" option, anyway.
Maybe you're right, and this new firmware requires an update to the sync station software... Has anyone with R2AY managed to sync over Bluetooth? Can anyone give it a try over the weekend? |

I am having exactly the same problem. Just bought a sony ericcsson K700i. Have you managed to resolve your connectivity via Bluetooth using the software provided?
The firmware on the phone is R2AY004 and the Sybstation version is 1.5.5.3c
I would appreciate any help.
Thank you! |

I'm having the same problem. Was there an answer to this post? |

Same problem here.
Synchronization via USB using 'Synchronize' works perfectly, but when I try to use via bluetooth gives exactly the same warning dialog 'Failed to stary synchronization settings. No connection'.
I have an Z800i and I am using 'Microtune USB Blueetooth Device' (Billionton).
Also Sony's File manager and other utilities does not detect the phone connected via bluetooth. The software that came with the bluetooth stick can be used to transfer files to the phone, though.
Added software version:
