Hi,
Im a newbie. Just like to say this forum is very informative. Ive spent hours on here already!!
I got this phone K750i today. I have it plugged in via USB.
I have loads of large MP3 files on my computer. I wish to take 10 seconds from 1 song and use it as a ringtone.
I have gone into Nero Wave Editor and cut out the portion I want, then "save as" file.mp3. It also gives me options to save as .wma and .wav files. I have then transferred the new ringtone to my phone via USB but it wont play the file thru file manager.

Can someone please point me in the right direction here?? Or is there some other software I can get off the net that is specially set up for this type of thing??

Thanks in Advance

Is your phone branded ? eg: if it's branded to vodafone then you can only use mp3's from their site. In this case you need DRM packager from

My K700 is unbranded and i use mptrim ( you can download it here )
which works well with winamp light, both programs are very small, easy to use and also free.

You should be able to cut down your mp3's no probs mate
