Hi All,

Glad to see the UK thread is hammering along !

Quick question, and apologies in advance if this has been covered elsewhere - I posted a new topic because I need a real quick answer to this

I got R2E006 popped on my T68 a few weeks back and since then I have had some odd experiences :

a) Phone sticks on making calls initially
b) Phone will hang on some menus
c) I try to send an SMS and the second the pop up window for "sending SMS" comes up, it goes "saved in unsent" and doesn't really try to save it - when I hard reset ( battey off ) the phone, it comes back up with nothing in the unsent folder !
d) Phone powers off occasionallly

I can say for definite that nothing else has changed, and I treat my phone well, so it's not a case of it having hard treatment

Can anyone shed any light on this and tell me if R2F004 (?) cures any of these issues and possibly has any issues of it's own

Thanks guys

Ben

Hiya, got R2e006 on my phone a couple of weeks ago and haven't experienced any of the problems you have mentioned.

Advise you go to SE service centre mate.

I got the R2E006 a few day ago on my T68m (initially R1B) an had no problemes since then. After the first turn on it forze, but since then it works like a charm

@benjytrainer

About your turn off problem, is it possible that you accidentally push the off/no button of your phone for about 15 seconds (e.g. in your pocket) ?
Then your phone will turn off, even if the key lock is enabled.
I was told by SE that this is a feature and not a bug ...

Is this feature applied in all E/SE phones? If not, it's a defect in design or in other word bug, not feature.

All Ericsson phones restarts when you hold down the "on"-button for 10 + seconds.

Pulling the battery off is not enough. You should perform the master reset, but be aware that all your settings and numbers will be lost. If that doesn't help try to replace the FW once again - if no success go to the CC. Good luck!

No such problems here!

The new firmware is an absolute joy! It seems much faster and the auto-punctuation is a welcomed benifit!

Sorry to hear of your troubles mate! Wait for the next one to become available maybe?

Thanks for your input guys ...

I have noticed some odd problems with my phone of late, which I think can be split into two categories

1) Odd behaviour with certain functions
e.g. Trying to send an SMS and it going straight into the unsent folder

2) Battery / hardware problems
e.g. found the phone powered off 3 times today ! I am not holding the off button as it was sat on a desk !

Obviously when so much stuff is on the phone ( numbers, pics, sounds, WAP / GPRS settings ) it would be frustrating to MASTER RESET it, but if things continue then I will have to.

Hi,

I've got an R2F004, and have had not problems. I do find that some menus are a bit slow to load, but not too sure if it was any different to previous versions. Still much better than a T68!

My advice, go get the latest firmware asap!
