Many years back Ericsson had CDMA phones. Those times are gone.

Verizon recently sent me a sweat deal by mail, however I passed it up.
It's this simple... " No SE , No contract.
Besides I have a great package with Cingular, not to mention the 18%
employer discount they provide for my co.

There is a very slight ray of hope, if you can aquire a T608 (SE's only CDMA phone. It was designed for the Sprint Network but you could use it as voice-only phone on Verizon's network.
There are a few obstacles like getting the t608's MSL code to program the right provider settings |

@ax:
Have you rung verizon to ask them if your phone is compatible on their network? They'll be in a better position to answer |

heres why u cant unlock it and use it on verison...
when you unlock a GSM phone, it opens it up to all GSM networks. however, Verison does not use GSM, they use what is called CDMA. so if a SE phoen is unlocked, it wont work because version is CDMA. GSM and CDMA is not the same. thats the best way i could try to explain it...

the only way would be that T608 mentioned earlier. Its somewhere between a T610 and T310 in functionality and layout. I believe it has bluetooth too. It was only made for a short time and I believe they were all locked. Good luck trying to get one and unlock it though...

thanks everyone for your wisdom
i have a question though
is there any sony ericsson phone that works on the cdma network so taht i can use it on verizon?
i looked at the phones that verizon offers.. the only good one is the motorola.. but the battery life sucks
i relaly want bluetooth because i have a bluetooth on my computer.. and i can send myself ringtones and other stuff via that...
if there is no SE phone thatd work.. what do you guys think is the best phone for a verizon wirelss account?
thanks! |
