I was looking for a bit of advice about the bluetooth connection in my K700i.

I have previously been using a T68i with a SeeFree bluetooth car kit (one of the ones that plug into a cigarette lighter socket) without a problem. Once it was paired, whenever I started the car any calls were transferred through the carkit.

I've recently got a K700i and even though it's paired with the carkit, it doesn't automatically send calls to it.

Am I missing something in the settings to make this work as it did with my T68i? I also have a HBH-600 headset paired with the K700i as it came with it - Could this be causing issues?

Any help is appreciated.

In a word, yes. The k700i will hang onto the headset's connection even after you get in the car. If you manually close that connection, it should look for the car kit, but it will probably look for the HBH first. That said, with the HCB-300, my k700i _usually_ finds the car kit if I turn my HBH-600 off altogether. I say usually, because sometimes it doesn't and I have to turn the off and on to get it happy again. My k700i has R2AE033.

I dont get it ! I've removed all other paired devices (including the carkit) and then sucessfully paired the carkit again by itself. It then shows in the phone as an accessory, but still doesnt work??? Does anyone have similar issues with any sort of handsfree?

On the T610, there are"Advanced" and "Power Save" options for "Car Handsfree" under Bluetooth menu. Don't know if that does anything.
