whats the filename ? you must have forgotten to put on the .mp3 extension

Or did you save the actual cutted mp3 by hitting the exportbutton or did you just goto filemenu and select save (then you save the project as m3p, not the actual mp3 song)

You have to press the disc symbol to save the edited mp3

see this:

yes for this specific purpose its the best, because its the ONLY one that does not recompress the file. ALL other audioeditingsoftware recompress the new edited/cutted mp3, recompression allways degrades quality.

could be the volumelevel in the mp3 you use is simply to low.
Most audioeditors have a normalize function, to normalize volumelevel in the file, you could try that before transfering them to the phone.

I havent met a K700/K750 yet that didnt play mp3 ringtones very loud.

i use goldwave, trims mp3/wavs etc, changes volume, allows looping, cutting pasting etc, best program i ever used for it! oh and it lets you save wavs as mp3s and viceversa so no need for a convertor program too!

I use mptrim ( you can download it here )
which works well with winamp light, both programs are very small, easy to use and also free.

is there a way to make vodafone branded k750i's utilize self-downloaded mp3s as ringtones? i've been reading this forum for ages now and find solutions and run into dead ends.

ok, so i got the drm packager thing but all i can get are the mp3s to play in the mediaplayer section, which is a start, i guess but i can't assign them as ringtones.

any solutions? i was reading a thread and it was saying i needed to upgrade the firmware to R2V001 but that thread was referring to other sony ericsson phones with the k700i being its most modern. here's that thread http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=73343

yes, it is considerably quiet considering it's on full blast.
