I blagged a new K750 today. I had a K700 with accidental damage insurance which I have accidentally dropped into my wheelchair workings twice and broken the screen. First time (for my £25 excess) the insurance paid for the repair, the second time they sent me a voucher for a new K700.

Went to The Link and asked for my new K700: they can't get hold of them any more. Neither can they get hold of S700s. Phoned the insurance company: they told me in the circumstances I would have to accept a Nokia. No way!

So after a bit of discussion between The Link and my insurer, the insurer agreed to replace my K700 with a - wait for it - K750i for free!!! They aren't even available on Orange contract in the Link yet so they are going to send it on next week.

What a blag eh!

Thing is I'd unlocked and unbranded my K700i. I'd just bought 2 davinci credits to do the same for my new K700i - but now I'm getting a K750i and DaVinci doesn't mention this yet, or have the firmware files. Anybody any idea if I will be able to unlock and unbrand my K750i with Davinci? and if so when?

Thanks

Nope, not at present.

I am told by someone who knows everything about SEs (who else but gbrooks3? ) that perhaps in the next few months, we'll see a solution. [addsig]

O well thanks Sebby! I don't mind waiting a few months - I take it that DavinciTeam credits (username/passwords) don't expire?

Cheers

I don't think they expire, at least I hope not! I'm in exactly the same position as you. I have 4 credits left as I bought 5 when I have my K700i. I'm sure DaVinci will support the K750i eventually. [addsig]
