K750i - Sound but no Video |

I've got a .mp4 video that I use on my psp - I've successfully put it onto my k750i.
When I go to file manager though, I press play and I can get the sound for the movie, but no video (visual).
Does anyone know why? Does it have to be in a certain format, or screen resolution or something? |

The resolution of the video is probably higher than the resolution of the screen, so it wont play video but audio will play
Remember, your PSP has a bigger screen

Cool - I thought something like that might be the case.
What is the resolution of the k750i screen?

no unfortunately not, would have been nice, but the reason why it doesnt is that 176x220 is a resolution that doesnt follow the 3gp standard for mobile video. Max resolution in the 3gp standard are 176x144. Only smartphones play other formats and other types of video, because on these you can install different videocodecs and applications. Non smartphones has to follow the 3gp standards.

Both K700, S700 and K750 support .mp4 and .3gp and furthermore support aac audio in videos which is great for musicvideos.

Can you pause, fast-forward, and resume playback for video files. IE could you watch movies viably?

actually .. supporting H264 would be good news....
other than that, i consider video on mobiles pretty pathetic.....
but i must say my k750 does a very good job in recording videos... in compariston to its predecessors !!! |

hi,
so when you encode you should do it to 176 x 144 and .mp4 and .3gp only?
also what frame rate is best?
i have been trying for ages.....
3gp seems to work fine but quality aint all that.
did high res and no video came lol.
did a .mp4 but didnt playback smootly and kept freezing.
whats the best mac app to use for encoding for 750i and what settings.
thanks, |

if you have quicktime 7 pro... it will do the job and more than fine...
15 to 30 fps is best...
another program you can use is ffmpeg !!! its an amazing app, easy to use and supports various codecs, useful for more than just ur mobile !!! |

hi tazmania,
yeah i use ffmpeg for my psp does a brilliant job.
but i can't seem to get the perfect setting for the k750i.
i have tried both .3gp and .mp4.
i am telling files to be around 10-50mb and 176x144.
some come out jerky and freeze a little and others pixelated.
any settings you can recommend?
thanks, |
