Is it worth looking for a BT 1.2 headset or just a 1.1?

Also, for those with a bt headset and a k750i, what features have you gotten to work with the phone?
1) voice ansder/busy
2) Voice dialing
3) incoming voice id. (its where if you had a voice name programmed into the number and the caller calls you, it says the preprogrammed name into the headset)

Its strange. My Sony phone had been getting worse and worse. The T68i did all of that, the 610 did only the voice dialing, and now my k750i cant seem to do any...

as far as i know, k750i is bluetooth v2.0
check it out at sonyericsson.com or even better, goto http://developer.sonyericsson.com/ and download the k750i whitepaper, that should answer all your queries.

Thanks for the white paper. Sony should include that on the k750 site. What the heck is 2.0 BT? I know of 1.1 and 1.2 never got to a 2.0 before.

I have also wondered on this, I was told that its version 1.2.
But I suppose the best way to find out is email sE direct. They make the phone so they should no,

All i do no that its faster at transfering things to the PC, but wont work with my Current blue tooth headset.

BT 2.0 also works within 100 metres (not just 10) and u can use it with a stereo, so it makes a huge difference so i really hope it has 2.0! This would be the first phone with 2.0 btw. But if it's 2.0 SE why didn't advertise it? It's something what they should be very proud of!

Maybe its because Mr Joe Average does not even know what Bluetooth is. Its not a very strong selling point to most people.

Distance has nothing to do with the Bluetooth version! It's the classes that determine distance. For your information, the K750i has a 10 metres range! And AFAIK, there's no stereo bluetooth profile on the K750i...

But 2.0 improves security and data transfer speed!

Hehe, true! :-) But if Mr. Joe Average sees that there's a so called BT thing in it, it is more attractive, isn't it? (even if he doesn't know what it is :-) )
