I had the same problem before. It usually takes about 30 seconds to see your connected phone. Make sure that you ENABLE the appropriate COM port in Phone Monitor Options (COM Ports). You can have all the ports enabled.

After enabling the COM ports, go to SETUP (still in Phone Monitor Options). Click on Troubleshooter while the Image Editor Software from Ericsson is OPEN. You should shortly see then that your phone is already connected.

I hope this helps.

I'm having problems with my data cable connection too... It won't detect my phone I'm using a original SonyEricsson DRS-11 data cable. I tried using MSI Bluetooth Trasciever also still it won't detect my phone using the Image Editor, SEndfile, Phone backup while float's MobileAgent detects my phone easily.

I'm using WindowsME with the Mobile Phone Monitor and MyPictures. It works fine with DRS-11.

What software are you using?

I'm using Windows XP with a SonyEricsson t68i (R2B025) with a DRS-11 data cable... My phone monitor can detect my phone now but the problem now is the Image Editor upload seems to be in grey scale still.

@kierontan, if you also have XTND Connect installed, kill (i mean, right-click and select exit) its phone icon from the tray.

I had the same problem. I guess that you connected your phone to early. How I solved the problem here:

1) disconnect phone from computer
2) unistall everythin from ericsson (phonen monitor, xtnd)
3) reboot computer
4) install phone monitor & xtnd
5) reboot computer
6) connect phone to computer

This worked for me.
Still sometimes my pc won't find me t68 (usually after 5 or 6 days running), the I just rebbot the pc and everythings works again.

@*, make sure that the COM port allocated to MPM is not being used by any other applications.
