am using airtel gprs and i dont know how to setup email..I got an id frm sonyericsson me@emimail.com ...can i use tat id 4 email setup ??? or pls tell me some other techniques...

You need mobile office for using pop3 mail in your phone. Do you have mobile office or airtel live?

you'll need to know pop and smtp address as well as port of the provider.

hi alll and whizkidd..pls dont angry... I have airtellive on my k700i and it is working nicely.But problem with me is i dont know any incoming and outgoing server address to setup my email...

@anand you cannot access mail on airtellive, you will need airtel mobile office. Where are u from?

I have the airtel gprs connection, and opened an account with bluebottle. i loaded the settings provided, but am still not able to access my account.

hiii yes malayali anuu..then u will get mobile office frm airtel by sending MO (in caps) to 501 or sonyericsson.com/support/wap..then choose mobile,country,airtel . Then u will get settings as sms...itz free also...

Those are the settings. The question is, have you activated your mobile office!? @dr, i have a bluebottle account which i'm successfully using on my t230 and ngage. What settings did you enter? And you have mobile office? It won't work on airtel live settings.

Yup, like i said, i have the airtel gprs, i.e. the full gprs. The settings i've entered are:
connect using: MOBILE OFFICE
Protocol: POP3
IncomingServer: mail.bluebottle.com
Incoming Port: 110
Encryption: none
Mailbox:(My email address @ bluebottle)
Password:(MY Password)
Outgoing server: smtp.bluebottle.com
Outgoing Port:25
Email Add: (my email@ blurbottle)
Download: Headers & text
From:
Signature:
Copy outgoing: off
Check intrval:off
Can ya pl haelp?

Ok try changing the incoming and outgoing servers to www.bluebottle.com not smtp and stuff...i use www and it works perfectly...also, what error message do you get?

drdeep...what error ae you getting....okay use mail.bluebottle.com as server name for receiving and sending both....for username ..put the complete email address and make sure mob office is active....bluebottle s very easy to set up and gives no probs at alll
