most Nokia's have had sw updates in the past, only they've not been as significant or neccessary as these SE ones.

I might be wrong, but SW upgrades are made to correct bugs/errors in the handling of the phone.
And why do an upgrade on something that works good already? |

WOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWW I've tried today the Nokia 7650. It's fantastic. The size is pretty good. And you don't feel the weight of 150 gr. What it has dissapointed a little bit is the keypad. I spected a better keypad, such as Nokia 6210 / 3330 / 8210.
But I think that nowadays is the best phone!! (We have to wait for the P800)

@netguy2
i was really saying the same thing u r saying, that it is a good phone, and it is the best phone on the market, but now i say it is a bad dissapointing phone, its bad in the features it offers, bad in mms, bluetooth,etc.
an this phone is one of the bestsellers now or maybe the best seller, but i really recognized that its not the best, t68i is much better, the 7650 price dropped every 2 or 3 weeks, the t68i price didnt dropped at all, now t68i and 7650 are almost in the same price range, i was really impressed when i saw the 7650, but its not the best, no headset bluetooth, not a mms slideshow capable, etc.
so i think now its TEMPORARILY the best phone on the market, but i think it will be the worse very soon, maybe its a good phone, but 90% of it owners didnt said that, so in one month its price will be lower than t68i price.
when it first came out it was about 750$, now its about 550$ or maybe less!!!
i really liked this phone but it really sucks.
the t68i is still the best of the best.

here is the best proof that t68i is much better than 7650,
the price of the t68i with mca-20 is very very much higher than the price of 7650.
nokia really sux in all phones, lets take a look on its collection, 6610 and 7210 are nice but maybe not better than t68i, and the new stupid tetra thing is baaaad, and they say there is 7650i, i think the p800 will be the best for a very long time when it hit the market.
and i think t68i is the best phone now, and 7650 doesnt worth that i sell my t68i and go pay a price of two phones and buy a piece of shit, beside the 7650 interface is not enabled in many languages, so it will be useless when i recieve an sms in my language and the phone fail to read it. and i really dont need a camera at all, so the t68i will be the best for me now until the p800 come out, i red many reviews about it, and my experience that it deserve 1500 euros, its a super phone.
