Anyone used this device, is it any good? To be honest, from the information provided on the SE website, it's difficult to see how it works. Does this thing mount on the dashboard?

A little switch mounts on the dashboard. Most of the device is mounted behind the dash out of sight or under the console. It works well. There's a thread about somewhere with a mini-review of mine and some (bad) pics. |

The HCB-300 works fine.
The main problems with S/E carkits (HCA-200) revolve around System cables. Obviously the HCB-300 doesn't use a Systems cable so no problem.
Various anecdotes can be found on this Accessories Forum about the reliability of the Bluetooth connection.
The Mobile Holder (cradle) is optional when using a Bluetooth kit. The best mounting position is on the passenger side of the centre console (angled towards you). To do this an additional L-shaped bracket will be needed. The Nokia cradle mounting backet is best and can be attached quite easily.
If you're not a mechanic or an electrician don't attempt to install yourself. Get it done professionally. If you are, PM me with details of your car and I'll give you any help I can.
