Get rid of the Frog! |

Hands up who is now getting sick and tired of seeing that pathetic frog and his chicken/dragon friends on channels such as ITV. Okay, it started on MTV and it annoyed me then as it was taking over all the advertising space they had, but... it wasn't a main station such as ITV that everyone in the country gets. It needs to be banned. Its become so annoying that it has become offensive. If the wrigleys Dog Breath advert where the bloke wakes up after a heavy night of drinkin and coughs up a dog is deemed offensive and taken off air... then this trash should be to! Who's with me!
If something so creative and clever and enetertaining can be removed becasue 3 people from the outer hebredies don't like dogs crawiling from out of someones throat then surely one entire nation can remove this Ikea loving companies advertisements from our screen... and allow for cretive, witty and entertaining advertising like Peter KAy and the John Smiths ads.
All of this is based on my love of the creative, the witty etc. And hence my hate fo the damn right annoying and frustrating! But it is not only that where the problem lies with this product. For example in the enws the other day a kid had ordered the crazy frog ringtone and then subsequently lost £27 becasue they barraged him with things he didnt want. Ok it says over 16's in the tiny subprint on the advert, but are you telling me that a small ball of fluff, a pathetic dancing dragon and a frog with eyes to rival any cartoon charachter, are not aimed towards children. After all this is where the company will make their money.
Surely we can complain. And if so where to. Whos with me. Who agrees. Who doesnt?! If you don't just think about all the millions of people that are brainwashed by this pathetic singing creature. Mobile phone ringtones and screensaver, etc, should be left to the back of the suns glossy magazine or supplements in FHM, places where if you do not want them you can just bin the leaflet straight away. The mobile rington is one of the most annoying things to hear... and now its taken over our TV sets. We cant let this happen |

start a campaign, do a search on google for people who have also complained, and try watchdog, bbc etc as they have already covered the subject....
thing is the newspapers advertise these companies and they spend a lot of money to get a full page advert in the sun so they are going to be careful what they print....
Sweety the chick - aimed at young girls
Crazy Frog - aimed at young boys.
Its absolutly wrong what the are doing but the Music Stations are just as much to blame for it and ive read parents are banning there kids from watching music channels now...
I dont blame them

I quite like the Frog, but I don't like Jamster and their clones I too am sick and tired of those adverts popping up in almost every ad break in many programmes, sometimes TWICE!!!! There's another conversation about this HERE as well.
If Jamster can afford to put all these adverts in so many programmes on pretty much all of the independent stations, they must be making an obscene amount of money out of gullible teens (though not all teens are gullible - there's some very mature ones here on Esato!) that get sucked in by their simplistic and relentless advertising, either relying on their impulsive behaviour or 'pester power' over their parents.
I notice they now put 'Clubs' at the top of the ad where is says 'Crazy Frog remixed' or whatever it says, but that could still be misinterpreted as something to do with nightclubs or something.
