Well i've had my T68i for over 4 years now, and it's starting to go bad on me. I can't even talk on it unless I use the headset.
Anyways, i want to get the S710a, but i'm still on AT&Ts contract. I went into the cingular store, hoping to get it. The guy was such an asshole to me and kept insisting I couldn't buy it unless I switched over to cingular and signed up on a contract. I asked about buying an unlocked phone on ebay. He said that that would work, but i wouldn't get SMS and MMS or anything else like that.
I dont know what part of his speech was nazi propoganda or not, but my question is, if I were to get an unlocked phone on ebay, and put my sim card in it, would i be good to go? How can i go about getting the S710a without converting to the cingular regime? thanks |

I am on an older At&t plan using a k700i and have both SMS - MMode - MMS - and the "Sony internet" if you decide to buy the 710, all you have to do is have the seetings sent to you using WAP from the Cingular web site. Log on as an old At&t customer and follow the instructions. The only draw back is if you ever do a "Master Reset" you will need to do it all over again. There is no way to save those setting for future use.
