I dont think that there are any phones that let you play MP3`s through a bluetooth headset. I have done it from a PC to headset but the sound quality was really rubbish.

yes, there's no phone with the ability of playing songs via bt headsets. so it's not SE or S700 fault.

thats not entirely true. There have been reports here from time to time that people have managed to listen to MP3s on bluetooth headsets on their nokia smartphones. However this feature is unavailable on any so far and I don't think it will be coming in the next few phones either.

The option is truly available on the noks.
Infact the latest nok phone, can't recall the model, comes with a stereo BT handsfree.
But then this is a SE discussion forum and for all practical purposes SE phones don't have the abality to do it.
Also i agree it's not worth listning to mp3 via the HBH BT handfree using the PC or infact the 66 series.

even if nokia phones are capable to do it, i never try to change my phone with one of them even if it costs 1€!

yes, there's no cause to buy a nokia phones since noone (atleast those who are here) likes to change his lovely phone with a cheap junk nokia.

SE is aware of the capabilities and limitations of the current BT devices so they didn't bother to implement mp3 playback via BT headsets. The quality will just be something people will start complaining about.
Perhaps in future BT devices when the speed is good enough to handle quality streaming. I also think the BT headphone's battery issues needs to be considered as well.
resistance is futile. |

Can you provide a link to this? I think that you are incorrect here. The cost of a BT headset would about at least another 50 Euro to the price of the phone so I do not think Nokia would shoot themselves in the foot to provide such flawed technology as a give away.

The product is Nokia Wireless Stereo Headset HS-12W
The N series supports it, cause it was mentioned with those phone, maybe the 66 series may support to.
also i'm sorry if it felt like i meant to say "it comes with the phone", rather it's an accessory, but then ain't all BT headset's accessories? can't expect them to come with the phone.
Anyway sorry for that!:( |
