Hey.

What firmware is the newest/best to SE K700i?

I flashed my mobile to R2AT003 with the DaVinci tool. But I see that many on the forum has flashed it to R2AL029.

What flash is the newest?

I am very satisfied with R2AT003, but if R2AL029 i will flash it again

R2AT is the newest and best. Take a look at my first post on the K700 Firmware Overview page, which should tell you everything you need to know:

just to add. K700i firm versions go as follows

for example:

we have R2
Then two letters for example R2 - AA

it goes like AA, AB, AC, AD, AE, AF........AL.......AT.........AZ

Where AA is earliest (although would start maybe as just A in reality) and AT is the latest.

This way you can always tell that the latest verison of firmware is and how new/old it is to the version you are running on your phone.

Because the platform sends bogus messages while charging, that is why!!!..But why this change of heart?..We sense a charger connected, oops, we will not shut down after all!!!..*********************** UI BASIC, HOLD YOUR HORSES

it is recommended that you use the search feature in the forum, or browse through the relevant section, before creating a new thread..whatever the question may be, chances are that youd find your answer in the search results  faster than waiting for someone to post the answer in a new thread

It's hard to say. I think it's fair to expect the SEUS to always be behind, though theoretically, it should get it immediately. However, I think it's because R2AE is (or was) still the latest release, and although R2AL and R2AT came out on DaVinci, these were not official releases. [addsig]

Although I am no expert, I suspect that they release these firmwares to their service community via EMMAII first as they will be in the best position to fix any problems that is encountered by the upgrade....even if that means reverting to an older version. When they have a stable version ready I assume they then release it to their SEUS.

R2AT003 was replaced by R2AY004 after only a couple of weeks, which must have meant that they found some sort of issue with R2AT. R2AY004 was only released at the end of May so we will probably have to wait at least a month before it could possibly make it to SEUS....assuming they don't find any other major problems with this release.

Of course if you contact Sony Ericsson, they have no idea about any of this and just say it will happen eventually.....where is internal communication and proper planned release management structure

The simple answer: the latest version available on the SEUS is R2AE. [addsig]

R2AY004 is the version

Are you sure they didn't mean R2AY004? As the service centres already have R2AT then it would be a bit of a backward step
