Let me start off by saying that I'm not aware if this is supported by other mobile phones manufacturers or other SE models, but I strongly believe that there are lots of people out there that are just as frustrated as I am with the lack of SMS reception timestamp. A feature that one would imagine shouldn't be difficult to implement in the current generation of SE phones. One can finally watch TV, browse the net, organise his agenda and stuff to do, cause it's the 21st century and this is 2005, but no, he must not be able to check when a message was delivered in the details of the message...or so the big brother believes.
[/sarcasm & rant begins]
If it's any consolation, for the time being SE offers an audible notice and a 2 seconds on-screen display window of the fact that the the message was just delivered...
I hate to state the obvious here, but Requirements:
a. One must be awake to start with (because the other subscriber might have his handset switched off, he might be in a different country, hell even on a different continent!). So next thing you know after waking up, power on the phone, there's the SMS reception alers...Now the following is just an abstract of a theoretical conversation between the user and the phone (?!?) -add your own lines in between for better results.
-User: ok, thanks moby, but can you please tell me when it was delivered?
-Moby:No.........
-User: But why, it's easy
-Moby: I'm not meant to speak with you anyway, so pi$$ off"
b. Well, shall we just say that if you're busy you can't really afford to wait for the reception alert to sound. I do multitask as a person, but that's way beyond
[/sarcasm & rand ends]
Well I could go on...but I'm not going to. I think anyone could come up with a fandful of good justifications as to why this is really useful.
It's stuff like these that add extra value and useability to the software, not the size of fonts in the main menu (which brings me to yet another oxymoron thought...Under my previous T68i, I was able to set the size of fonts in the GUI, where's that on K700?)
Blimey...
P.S: Do you think I Should be addressing these to SE directly, hehe
