my friend bought k500 .. found its lcd to be yellowish .. I mean the color temperature is not high . white doesnt appear purely white .. appears a little yellowish .. thats annoying me .. I compared it with other k500s they are just fine and the difference was extremely noticeable ...
he went to the service center ... and they said every set is different in some manner .. ( thats bullshit ) they say that its not a problem and so it cannot be replaced ...
now I want to play dirty with them ... is there a way to cause k500 to die or show some other problem that wud force them to replace the set? any tricks or something ? I have heard that the 13 seconds trick often does that .. if u dont time it correctly .. it causes the phone to die . is that true ?

That's silly. Why should you play dirty? My friend K500 is also yellowish on its LCD-compared to my K700i. That's normal considering the price. Just endure it. How can u guarantee the shop can be cheated this way? That's too extreme I think..don't risk yourself. Sell yourK500-that's more 'legal'.

It may be .. but not in my case ... I mean The LCD's colors cannot and should not look different ?? and the difference is quite remarkable ..

and btw the k500 and k700 are both equipped with the same display ... and I m anyway comparing it with other k500s in the first place.. all other k500s look fine and the one i m talking about looks yellowish .. and whats the risk .. If the phone goes dead I m liable to get a replacement aint i ?

Lol, the k500i and k700i both have completly diffrent displays, the screen on the k700i is much sharper and less pixelated then the k500i.

Its because the resolution of k700 is 220 by 176 compared to k500's 160 by 128 .. so the pixels becomes smaller on the k700 to accomodate the lcd's high resolution .. if u put them side by side u will find that the lcd dimensions are physically same .. the difference is the no. of pixels horizontally and vertically ..

back to our topic .. anyone else with a k500 having yellowish lcd?

Its about color temperature .. if u know wat i mean .. in todays monitors .we can select color temperatures from 5000 K to 10000K .. 9300K in most of the monitors .. some high end supports 10000K .. and the white color looks purest white at 10000K .. looks little dirty at 9300K and looks almost yellow at 5000k ...

n i think my k500i is at 9300k or something and the rest are at 10000k .thats y when i compare them I c the difference that white doesnt appear white on mine.. it appears to be on the 'yellower' side...

and btw never compare k500 with a k700 .
