Hi, I was just wondering if any body knows when shops in Australia will be selling the phone?

Also, is there any difference buying a phone from overseas and than using a sim from here, or should you buy an Australian version of the phone?

Cheers

@lukepingi, I've not heard any dates for Aus but I am sure it won't be too long.

I have bought many phones overseas and used them perfectly successfuly in Australia but just keep in mind that warranty is based on the country you buy the phone in only (except with EU where it is EU wide) so you may have trouble in that area should you get a problem with the phone

so no matter where i get it from overseas i cant get a warranty? thats no good cas i just sold my brand new samsung d500 for $600 so i could buy this phone, i really dont wanna wait 2 months for the phone!

What are the chances of something going wrong on the phone? are SE's prone to have problems, i've never bought one. Both my previous nokias ive had no problems what so ever, and my brother, mum and dad have never had any troubles with there phones.

cheers

well the K750 has only been available for 3 days so its hard to say if its likeley to have problems. In general I have rarely had a problem that required service. The only time I can even recall was the T610 hiss from an very early model. These days you can get firmware updates online so thats also one reason less for needing to take it to a service centre. its a gamble but probably worth it if you cannot wait

Cant really say about Australia but "My Mobile" magazine said expected RRP was $899 and out in June. Pretty dam expensive. I got my Nokia 8310 from China and had no problems but I know its just a risk you have to take if you want it earlier/cheaper. Australia will probably get it b4 us and probably cheaper.

Some people say its out in China already, anyone know if it is and how much. My friend checked for me and he said an estimate is 4000 RMB but not out yet. Thats approx. $676 NZD. Still quite expensive but I think I will get it from China maybe wait a bit for the price to drop
