I dun think so.. they should mention on W800i, not the K750i, causing ppl confusing about the phonez..

I read in many places that the K750 doesn't have flight mode whereas the w800 does and indeed I don't find flight mode in my K750 nor any mention of it in the manual

with so much capability it does seem to be a strange omission in these times of high functional convergence

it would really be really nice if they kept this features as the what mobile mag review state that u can use the camera and play mp3s and even access the phonebook while the phone is in flight mode ,i hope its there and i think its and i dont believe the magazine could do such mistake in a review where they rate the phone as 5 star rating..

its not uncommon for pre release phones to have features that are not present in the final versions.

for example I remember many mags and web sites reviewed the pre-release T610 mentioning that it had a theme editor built in but that was not present in the final version leading to many members here to ask where this function was, much like you are doing now.

I think its best to believe what the K750 white paper, manual and phone actually say (or in fact, don't say) over and above anything written in a magazine though that doesn't rule out adding the feature in a future firmware release

we rarely know what is coming in a future release until the next firmware is actually made available so we just wait and see

I seriously doubt that SE will put the flight mode onto the K750i as it is one of the features that set the W800 and K750 apart. Why would people buy the W800 if they get exactly the same bits on the cheaper (i expect) K750.

flying back here to Frankfurt last night I really wished it did have flight mode so I could listen to some of the music I loaded onto the memory stick

as it was I had to revert to my trusty JAM

can't you turn phones on once you're up in the air? maybe i'm missing something but what prevents people from using the mp3 function on a cell phone once the flight is at a cruising altitude?

when you turn a phone on it searches for a cell to connect with and this is what the airlines don't want (since they say it interferes with onboard systems) because, as I understand it, the phone increases power to its maximum level while searching for a cell
