V800 = Vodafone branded

Z800 = Generic/unbranded

Apart from external branding they will be the same as they'd be running the same firmware.

Yes, MikLSP is sure....

just decide whether you want 3G services or not, and whether you want to stroll around Japan paying extortionate roaming charges.

The battery life in any 3G phone at present is likely to be less than ona 2.5G phone. battery life on a V800 modified to Z800 is not among the greatest, but it is sufficient imho.

Z800 would be mine choice, and i don't really like clamshells to be honest.
With Ericsson and Nokia gone: we must keep their spirits alive and buy JOLLA or YOTA

@suzuki

I get almost 48 hours out of my Z800i, but I use speakerphone and the media player regularly so one could easily get more life out of it. It's not the best battery, but then again if the phone weren't so much fun the battery would last a lot longer. We don't have a 3G network so I can't comment on the battery life when using those functions. Just for comparison, I get at least 4 days out of my Z600, but it's nothing special.

48 hours is great! But i think in 3g network its drain in one day.I regret k 600 dont have bigger memory,only 32mb.I live in Romania and my operator Connex(nextVodafone) have a good 3g offer: 33mb, 4.33 hours national calls, 3.33 hours videocalls and 33 mms only for 33$

the 3G network itself doesn't drain the battery in one day (I can get 48 hours if I only make calls or sent SMS), the use of 3G functions does though

The MORE features the fone has, the more it consumes power, in effect, will result to draining the battery fast. This applies to ALL brands of mobile handsets. [addsig]
